Festival #3 and #4, you have to read the posts below first.

At the art festival, even in the back dumpster areas they were creative, couple of guys in the dumpster was pretty funny.
There was a costume bike rally, which was scary because it did not start until dark and I am not sure what time it ended, but I heard sirens all night from my hotel, it's crazy riding a bike in that area at night, after sitting in a bar, then riding with no street lights or sidewalks...... Weird.....

This was a wall at a bike shop, the entire store was just old used bikes, nothing special, but they had all these funky lights on the wall, it's called art I was told.
This was just piece of art, but the back drop was a wall that was painted in 70's drug culture kind of hippyness....... (I made that word up) and it make it all the more interesting.

Festival #2 St Mark's Stone Crab Festival

I have nothing to add, and no other photos that are worth sharing, but the food was incredibly good for a festival, it was awesome food including stone crabs, fresh grouper, jumbo shrimp, jambalaya, grilled alligator and crawfish stew..... I was stuffed.

4 Festivals in One Day!!!

In Tallahassee this weekend, I started out the morning going to the Monarch Butterfly Festival in the St Mark's Wildlife Refuge, a place where millions of Monarch Butterfly's stop on their annual wintering voyage from Canada to central Mexico. Did not catch the best day, but there were plenty of beautiful butterfly's near the St Mark's historic Lighthouse.

Festival #2 was the St Mark's Stone Crab Festival, lot's of great food, hugh tables with wooden sticks and people beating their crab's open with sticks. I had quite a feast for lunch, then headed back to Tallahassee.

Festival #3 for the day was The Greek Food Festival around 5PM, at the Holy Mother of God Greek Orthodox Church in Tallahassee. I was kind of disappointed in this, by the time I got there around 5:30 pm, they were out of Gyro and Shawarma meat for any dinners, all they had left was Spanakopita Baklava and Lamb.

Festival #4 was when I got back to my hotel, I could hear music from the parking lot of the hotel, grabbing my camera I stumbled on an Art District that I did not know existed, and it provided some really fun and interesting photos.

You just have to love the little face on this crab, it's almost comical.

Finally the Light House, it was a very quite area and was fun to walk up and down on the beach and trails looking at Monarchs, Crabs and Birds....

One more from St Augustine,,, Flagler College

The sun was setting, and Flagler College was starting to light up and I love the architecture of this these buildings, again the sky was sooo blue it was an easy shot to take.

BikeOctoberFest,,,,, I think that is what is was called.

So my next stop was Daytona, and Octoberfestbikeweek something or another. I am serious when I would guess there were 200,000 bikers there for the weekend. I took many shots of bikers, biker boys, biker chicks, and bikes, they all seemed to look alike. I met this guy, a biker for Christ kind of guy, rides a Harley and does all this cool Christian Bike Runs. Very nice guy, I gave him my information and hope that he looks me up. I was intrigued by the cool reflection in his sun glasses.

Day 2, St Augustine,

I simply love this church, and you know I shoot a lot of them, the sky was so blue, the sun was in the right position. I worked this later in the night, but the day shot was the best. Immaculate Conception, St Augustine, FL. With respect to the photo of this woman, all I can say is St Augustine has some mighty interesting people. You know I am kidding right??

Day 1, jaunt to Jacksonville and St Augustine..

Running around looking at some sites for a client, so I started in Jacksonville, have not been there in a few years, really enjoy walking the bridge and looking back at the city, the blue sky was terrific.

One more in HDR

This is a compilation of 4 photos all taken from the exact same spot in the back seat of this old car. I had to adjust the exposure for all the different forms of light, you have the soft natural sun in the windshield and all the way down to the floor board which was almost black it was so dark. They are then merged in Photoshop in High Dynamic Range to get a photo that is evenly exposed and a kind of antique look to the finish product was adjusted.

Driving through the Apalachicola National Forest

I spent most of the day exploring the Apalachicola National Forest , just south of Tallahassee, pretty boring, nothing too interesting until I came up on an old shack that had all these cars lined up perfectly in the weeds. They were so old that you could not tell what color they were and the rust tones were interesting to me and I adjusted some of the looks in Photoshop just to create some antique feeling to the photos.

Walking the Ohio River just before I left to Florida

A tremendous amount of color and light variation made this kind of difficult to shoot, but it's looking from the Kentucky side back to Cincinnati, with a classic paddle boat restaurant on the shore.

Shapes, Shadows and Drips Interest Me

I came across a wall that had some incredible shadows, and there was a drip from the canopy above and was clearly interested in all of the neat contrasts....
