150 year Tradition of Pilgrimage on Good Friday

Immaculate Conception Church in Mt Adams celebrated the traditional climbing of the stairs in Mt. Adams, on top of a hill overlooking downtown Cincinnati. The church was built on this hill and opened in December 150 years ago and around 10,000 people climb the stairs every Good Friday, saying a small prayer on each step. Click on the image and you can see silhouettes of persons on the stairs at 5:30 AM. There are three different sets of stairs and it took me about 1 hour total. The sky was just starting to change.
